Question Volume Pot Replacement

So, my SKB3006 needs a new pot--it's kind of scratchy and sometimes is either on or off. Nothing like an intermittent bass signal to liven up a gig! I've got the Bart 3 band in it--will any replacement work or should I look for a specific brand?

Have you tried blowing the dirt out of it first with some compressed air...clean first, replace second....

Well, I shot some De-oxit in it and thought that would do the trick. I noticed, too, that pushing or pulling on the pot will achieve the same result--cutting in and out--like fully off or on. I think the shaft may be kind of twucka. Any other ideas?

Hi JB,

I'm a new guy around here....but Barts use 25K pot for their volume. I have spares if you want one....I even have a 25K pot with push/pull, if you want to split the coils. PM me with your address, tell me which pot you want and I'll send it to you. Easy fix.

Many thanks to Gerry for the replacement.

It works perfectly! I can now adjust the volume without any cutting in and out, or static freaking out my preamp. You rock, Amigo.
