Well, this makes his "handle" appropriate...

...CrashClint won't be around for a few days, he had an accident Saturday while out for a ride on his motorcycle.

From what he's e-mailed me, he is going to be OK, but it was pretty serious, he was going ~55 mph and someone pulled out in front of him.

He broke his leg just above the knee, and will be in the hospital a couple more days before he's released.

For those that pray, you should do what it is you do, and I (and those of a like mind) will just wish the best for him to make a speedy and complete recovery.

Very sorry to hear of this, but the obvious silver lining is that it wasn't a lot more serious. Best wishes to you Clint for a speedy recovery!

I guess Clint should better change his logging now.

More seriously Clint, if you can read TB, I wish you a fast recovery and hope you will soon be on your foot to groove along.

all the best

CrashClint accident

Hello fellow TB'ers/Roscoeheads,

I wanted to inform everyone about CrashClint's motorcycle accicent. I found out about 11:00 yesterday mourning that he was in a accident. I don't have all of the particulars but I do know that someone pulled out in front of him, he was riding about 55 mph. CrashClint is hopitalized, and I plan to visit today. I will update when I return. For those that don't know him this is one of the most honable guys I have ever meet.

I have never meet a person that is more dedicated to Roscoe and TB than this man. I literally think that TB is a responsibility rather hobby for Crash. Crash will always post valuable information on your thread whether it is to help your post for sales, of educate you on a particular topic CrashClint is a very genuine person.

We pray that he will have a speedy recovery and get back to TB soon!!!

God Bless!!!

Glad to hear Clint's going to be OK. Drivers should really be more respectful of motorcyclists.

Hey guys, I merged smpugh's thread with my original to keep everything in one place.

Clint seems to be fine, we've exchanged a couple e-mails and from them he seems to be in good spirits.

Freddy, yeah, speaking from far too much personal experience, people in steel boxes tend to not give proper consideration and respect to their two wheeled brethren on the road.

Here's to a quick recovery. As a fellow motorcyclist, I totally sympathize.

Wow!
Glad to hear Clint is OK but definitely a bummer that he was involved in an accident.

My prayers are certainly with you Clint and based on the details that we've heard, I'd say you must have been "prayed up" because things could have been much worse! That's a real blessing!

Now settle up with the insurance company on the cycle and replace it with a couple more Roscoe's!

....Roscoe's are much safer to play on!

Sorry to hear about Clint's accident. I wish you a speedy recovery. There're too many drivers who take little notice of bikers or cyclists...

Just got an e-mail from Clint, he's home and resting now, again, sounds like he's going to be fine, just laid up for a while.

Hopefully, he'll be chiming in here soon...

Hey Guys,

I sincerely appreciate all your thoughts and prayers! I thank God for His mercy and grace.

I have been working with a Occupational and Physical Therapist the last few days to get me mobile enough to come home last night. Though they say this is going to be a long and painful rehab, just being home I feel a lot better already.

On another note, I have been using the handle CrashClint for about 20 years, back when AOL was big. During Collge and 20 years of working in manufacturing, I was known as Crash. When my brother suggested I should change it to CrashedClint, I just had to say No. Mayb one day I will share how the nick name came to be.

Oh, if my writing seems to jump around thoughts a little, they have me on two different pain medications.

Please continue to keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I learn to walk again.

Clint

Oh, something I forgot to mention. My buddy TBer Sheldon Pugh came to visit me in the Hospital. During the conversation Sheldon asked if I would get another motorcycle, I said, I would like to but I am not sure. Sheldon said that I could always get another Roscoe instead of a bike and my wife agreed, she would rather me buy another Roscoe instead of getting a motorcycle.

This is a tough decision, I really love riding motorcycles and I really love Roscoe basses. I would really love to have a 4 string signature or standard. Maybe I can get Gard to make me a one-off standard either in white or a cherry sunburst and call it the Century Crash Bass. I should make this a poll to see what everyone on TB thinks.

Or maybe the "Crash of the Century" bass!

Glad to hear you're at home, Clint.
