Who's playing #5850?

Maybe there's some Latin Jazz folks that might know this fine gentleman that gave my Roscoe quite a compliment last weekend.

Hint #1)

L.A. studio musician and top notch guy

Wow...no guesses yet?

Not even a mercy post?

Okay here's another clue (Jimmy might recognize this fellow)...

Clue #2)

His name is listed under the "Artists" section on the Fodera home page.

BTW- How y'all like the way that Redwood burl grain reflects the sunlight. Kinda looks like flourescent streaks, eh?

I will admit I don’t have a clue to who is playing the bass, but it is gorgeous, and I am sure the musician is totally a master. Just wanted to reply from our sizzling hot location.

Sizzle on Brother Mark and thanks for the kind words and the gracious mercy post.

Raul Rico? Is Raul Rico listed on the Artist's page of the Fodera website? Study up a wee bit more and guess again tomorrow (only one guess per day )

I must say LilRay, you're on the right track.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

We have a winner!! Raul is simply the most gifted bassist I've ever met and a true peach in every sense.

How'd you know?

He is a bad, bad boy. A true bass player's bass player. Doug, it's awesome that you've got him as a source of inspiration!

We have a mutually beneficial relationship...He gives me playing pointers and I show him how to scrunch up his face while diggin' in.

Have you ever met Raul, Jerry? He's one of the finest human beings you'll ever meet regardless of musical ability. I believe he travels up to the Bay area from L.A. regularly.

Have a great week.

BTW- Thanks for not spillin' the beans, Gard.

I've never had the pleasure, Doug - just mutual degrees of separation. J.V. Collier and Rene Camacho are two of my cronies/mentors that run in the same circles as Raul.
