The top doesn't really photograph that well. And that was a quick snap. To me the neck was the star of that bass though. The wenge/purpleheart/maple sandwich was all that and a bag of chips... |

Yeah, to answer the question about the FINISH on the bass, it looks "flat" because it's an oil/poly blend, hand-rubbed finish.
