Woot! Progress pics for me too :D

Haha this wonderful day has finally come!! I'm so excited to see the bass completed, and I've been waiting patiently and Gard has delivered =).

Gard knows this already, but I ended up breaking my clavicle... almost impossibly in a freak accident type of way and had been out of commission from playing the bass for a good 4 to 5 weeks, which made me really sad. I was even sadder from the thought of not being able to play the bass when it comes, but to my surprise, it's healing really well, and a lot sooner than my surgeons told me. =D

Well enough of my personal nonsense, so here are the specs on the bass followed by pics Gard sent over.

SKB 3005 #5714
Exhibition Quilt Maple Top
Swamp Ash Body
Light Amber finish
Aguilar OBP-3 pre (with series/parallel/coil split switch) Edit.. [went back to my email with Jim from Atlanta Bass, and my order was with the S/P/Coil split and not just S/P switch ]
Nordstrand DC5 pups
Pau Ferro Fingerboard
and the standard graphite nut and black hardware!

If some of you might notice, my specs are VERY similar to bass # 5719.

The wait has surely been worth it, and I was actually able to control myself pretty well up till now. But now that these pictures have popped up... oh boy, all I can say is that I can't wait till the bass is in my hands

A good quilt maple top never gets old.

Nice top! I thought you were complaining in an earlier thread about how yours would be the only one with a non-exhibition top. Glad you were able to score the exhibition top. It looks great with the light amber finish.

Haha thanks. Hope the rest of the bass turns out to be just as good. Well it would've been a shame if I ended up being the only one withOUT an exhibition top right?
