Yellowjackets w/ Mike Stern "Lifecycle"

Just got the Yellowjacket's new album. AWESOME!!!! Mike Stern guests on it and smokes!!

Jimmy sounds, well like Jimmy!!!! He's pictured in the liner notes with his Roscoe and our own Gard Lewis gets a shout out in Jimmy's thank you section.

I will definitely have to check this CD out. Stern is an awesome guitarist and like you said, Jimmy is Jimmy.

Hey, is the picture of Jimmy with his new Century Standard or is it his LG?

We at least they just mentioned Gard and we didn't have to see a picture of his mug.

Could be worse, could have been YOUR mug man!

I feel like Navin Johnson when he sees his name in the phone book:

I've ordered my copy from the Jackets site. Stern is a a favourite and combined with the Yellowjackets is prefect. I hope they tour together down the road. Any word from Jimmy with the might tour together Gard? I'll have to get my Roscoe signed for more mojo.

The only thing I MIGHT be qualified to do on tour with the 'Jackets is restring and tune Jimmy's bass each night...maybe, but even that is debatable....

....Jimmy is a M**********R....and truly one of the nicest dudes you'll ever meet.

I've got tickets to see Mike Stern w/ the Yellowjackets here at One World Theater. Great venue and the seats are in the fourth row.
Now I just have to wait till October to go to the show.

+1, Martin is insane. IMO The Jerk was his best movie.

The Yellowjackets are here in town on the 17th for two shows during the Rochester Jazz Fest. An off night works out perfectly. Richard Bona is here on the 14th, but can't make that one.

Just got this, and I'm listening to it now. This may be my favorite one since "Blue Hats" - and I think this is the best playing I've heard from Jimmy! Great stuff from one of my absolutely favorite bands.
