We are called RAG. Gigging and recording band out of the northern suburbs of Atlanta.
You must be strung from the threads of one giant, fat *pocket* to give these songs their necessary punch.
The guitar player lists Rage Against the Machine and Sound Garden as his biggest influences. The singer is somewhere between Fiona Apple and Janis Joplin. Our drummer can listen to Umphrey's Mcgee and Terry Bozzio all day.
Dead Weather, however, is probably the closest match to our sound and direction of the more current variety.
All 20-somethings looking for someone of like-minded musical direction. We are committed. Once a week full band practice in Cumming (that's north!), Georgia. The guitarist, singer and drummer try to have at least one song-writing practice a week in addition to a full band practice but do not expect the bassist--esp. if the drive is long--to do the same.
