Hey there -
I'm putting together a jazz-influenced-groove-oriented hip hop band. Think more the Roots and less Rage Against the Machine, more jazz less rock - although rock / funk / soul / reggae is a part of the sound. The idea is to fill the vacancy for good, original hip hop.
We're looking for a talented bassist, someone who can really hold their own since the bass is practically the second most important part of a hip hop band. We have a killer MC a great drummer and good guitarist. We don't have anything recorded yet as we just got together a couple of weeks ago but I can send samples of previous work to at least give you an idea of what the sound might end up being. You would really have a hand in shaping the sound / direction of this band.
If this sounds like something you would be interested in drop me a line.
take it easy
