Bassist Needed

Sign in to disble this ad
Located on Long Island,We are a 3 piece classic rock band. The drummer and I are 40, and looking for someone around the same age, interested in playing AC/DC to Zeppelin, along with some original material. We need a bassist capable of playing RUSH, songs like Tom Sawyer, Freewill, The Spirit of Radio, Fly by Night, Closer to the Heart, and Limelight. We both have night jobs, so we rehearse weekly/biweekly, during the day, on weekdays only, so if you're a 9-5er, it really won't work. We hold rehearsals at the drummer’s house, and we own our P.A. system, so there are no expenses. We are easy to get along with, so we'd like someone down to earth-no drama queens, and absolutely no drugs. We want someone serious about music, but not looking to make a living at this, it should be for fun, although when we gig, yes, we do get paid. We gig every 4-6 weeks, and have 2 gigs lined up, so we need someone to step in rather quickly, so if you fit the bill, reach out to us, thanks............... hercandhol@gmail.com

That's right up my alley, too bad it's the wrong coast.

I've often wondered why there isn't a forum for these sorts of posts. For instance, New Year's Eve I got a call from a band that needed a bass player and I referred them to a few friends (seems like I know more drummers than bassists).

OP-Why the age limitation...music transcends...
