Hello bassists!

We are a new band put together by myself who is the songwriter / producer. We consist of drums, cello, violin, clarinet, piano / keys, vocals, live looping/electronics and synth / sax.

The music mixes folky female piano driven songwriter with soulful electronica, elements of drum and bass, breaks & broken beat with classical influences, world influences and the odd metre here and there. It is in vein to artists like Zero 7, Nitin Sawhney, Cinematic Orchestra, Efterklang, Bjork and Tori Amos.

We have been struggling to find the right bassist to compliment our unique sound, but haven't given up on the hope! We know you are out there

The band is comprised of both pro / semi - pro musicians but at present there is no money as it's still fairly new. There are many opportunities in the works and a lot going on but these are things that I would not like to discuss on the forum as I am looking for someone to join because they love the music and believe in it.

I was initially focussed on finding a double bass player but I now just want the right person on the same wavelength

If this sounds like it could be you please please get in touch with me asap and I can send you some rough demos. neetamusic@gmail.com

Cheers!

Sorry I totally forgot to mention we are based in London. The majority of members live West where both our rehearsal and recording studio reside, so if you are West it would be helpful but if you are willing to travel that is great too. I'm personally in Surrey and travel.

Sounds like my cup of tea, but I'm across the water in Dublin. Best of luck with it!
