Experimental Mathy Psychedelic Rock band seeks bassist

We are an experimental rock band from Dubuque, IA called Lost Apparitions. We are a 3 piece band and are currently looking for a fulltime bassist. If you are into any of these bands, theres a good chance youd like what we do:

The Mars Volta, The Mahavishnu Orchestra, The Fall of Troy, At the Drive In, Tera Melos, Led Zeppelin, Circle Takes the Square, Fear Before the March of Flames, Form of Rocket, The Sound of Animals Fighting, Omar Rodriguez Lopez, Pink Floyd, Ten Grand, the 90 day men, Sonic Youth, Lye be Mistake, Russian Circles, Explosions in the Sky.

We also have some influence coming from Latin, Jazz, Flamenco, and World Music. We love using effects pedals, odd time signatures, and untypical song structure. we are also moving a little more in a psychedlic and jammy direction, so being able to jam is good. We also have some ambient moments in our music.

This band is completely serious and we have already done some touring in the past including a month long tour across the midwest this summer, as well as a week long tour. We plan to do a LOT more touring, and already have plans to be out on a month long Southern Tour this March, which we will be doing as a 2 piece if we have to. We have already shared the stage with some pretty popular national touring bands including:

we actually did end up finding a bassist. when we said the thing about being able to get you work, its because our drummers dad has his own business and can get us work when we need it. we are not at a point as a band where being in it will pay all of your bills to live. most touring bands unless they are pretty big do actually have jobs on the side that they do when they arent on tour. we dont work full time or anything but being able to make a little extra money when you are not on the road to cover food, shelter, gas etc. ps. check the tour dates on our page we are leaving for tour in a few weeks and may possibly be coming through your area
