Gigging, established, Atlanta area Funk/Soul/Jam band looking for bassist.

We just came back from playing one of the bigger SE festivals (Floyd Fest with Blues Traveler, Grace Potter etc.) and learned that our friend and bassist has to step away from the band due to a sudden and very unfortunate family situation….so here we are.

We are a Funk/Soul/Jam band: Sort of Gov't Mule meets Sly and the Family Stone or the Meters meets Hendrix meets Steely Dan (on our best day no doubt). Self absorbed descriptors aside, check out our music HERE and HERE. and you can judge for yourself.

Vocals/songwriters are a plus, but not necessary. Improvisation, yes but we are not typical Phish/Dead noodlers (although we like both bands).

Just released our 1st CD, have a booking agent, play around the SE. We take this band very seriously but we are not full time, we all have day jobs. We are looking for a band mate (not a hired gun) who will push in the same direction and contribute to all aspects of the band.

Rehearse in the Alpharetta/Suwanee/Cumming area.

Contact via our website, myspace, please no PM's as I rarely get on TB.

Thx for reading TalkBass members.

I'd respond,....but the commute from Tulsa Ok might make things a bit difficult. Great sounding tunes! Wish I was closer.

Nice stuff. Too bad you wouldn't be willing to relocate to MA.
