I am a seven-string Guitarist looking for a bassist to play with a melodic metal outift in the glasgow area (as mentioned in the title). Thus far, I have a Singer and Keyboardist already lined up.
I am looking for a highly competent player with the ability and the will to tone things down when needed, and play some easier lines.
No material is currently recorded, although I have already written a two part album (fourteen songs) and several other songs which have no current place. The basslines and musical structure are of course all negotiable, as it would hardly be fair to ask someone to play something they had no part in the writing of, but on the upside, if you don't have the time or ability to write your own, there are some already written.
What has been written so far is either for a 5 string bass or a 4-string Tuned down to B, E, A, D, and as I said is certainly nothing out of the ordinary or particularly challenging, although some sections stand as being considerably mroe difficult than others.
At present I use guitar pro for writing all my songs, so obviously knowledge and availability of the software would be a plus, but if this is inconvenient then something else can be arranged (Midi audio files and text based tabs, live practicing, &c.)
