| Manchester (UK) rock/metal band need YOU!
Hi bass players.
Silent Cities are a Manchester based riff-heavy rock band looking for a bassist, 25-35, with own equipment and preferably transport.
We started out over 2 years ago and the current line-up have been together for 9 months. We have established a sound and new musical direction so it is an exciting time to join the group. Recent recordings are currently being mixed and mastered, so we should have something for you to listen to soon. In the meantime if you are interested we can send a rough mix so you can get an idea of style etc.

As always, it's difficult to describe what we sound like. Melodic vocals over complex, almost proggy riffs and plenty of dual harmony guitar. Our influences include Killswitch Engage, Refused, Funeral For A Friend, Thrice, Avenged Sevenfold, Trivium, Iron Maiden, etc. This doesn't necessarily mean we sound anything like any of these bands but gives you an idea of our background!
We practice twice a week mostly, in Manchester city centre. Once on a weekday (flexible day) 6- 9pm, the other is on Sunday afternoon, 12-5.
