We are a long-established covers band in Oldham, Greater Manchester, UK, playing an eclectic mix from old rock 'n' roll like High Heel Sneakers, through soul staples like Take Me To The River to Rolling Stones stuff, but also including some newer songs such as the Amy Winehouse version of Valerie and Duffy's Mercy.
We pride ourselves on our variety, and people often comment that we do songs other bands don't (in a nice way!)
We are all 40-plus, a friendly bunch, with a feisty female singer and laid-back male singer. We really enjoy our music, but we all have day jobs, so this is a fun hobby - weekly rehearsals and a gig, say, every month.
Fact is, we've had really bad luck with bass players (thought they were supposed to be the steady ones!) and we want someone who will join our happy band.
