Into post-* or instru-metal like Pelican, Isis, Russian Circles, Neurosis, Red Sparrowes, etc., with maybe a bit of doom/drone on the side? Like working thoughtfully on cool music instead of just jamming? We have two guitarists with great dynamics and tones and a very creative, tasteful drummer who'd like to meet you.
You should be 25 to 30something (18 is too young, 42 is too old), with decent gear (able to produce both volume and tone) and the means to move it around. Fair chops and a lot of creativity required. "Grownup" preferred; this is a (serious) hobby and creative outlet for us, not a shot at the bigtime. We're very dedicated to this being a non-commercial project. Right now we are focusing on writing and rehearsal with a plan to record; gigging is possible but not something we're actively pursuing right now.
