Bassist needed for committed position in a band. All auditioners should be able to play with band accompanyment. Auditioners should be able to read and play bass music and or bass tab. Band is looking for bassist with a good work ethic and has instrument and gear. We would like auditioners to not be shy. Because this is a professional band bassist must be willing to travel for paying gigs (local). We are interested in bassists who are able to accept constructive criticism and offer same. The band would be interested in someone who has a phone, reliable transportation, presents a clean appearance (personal hygiene) and is willing to reherse once a week. We offer a professional atmosphere to rehearse in and a comfortable environment to express your creativity. We welcome music writers. This will be a band performing mostly origional music and would like a jazzy bass. We are looking for a jazz or ska bassist. Knowledge and ability to improvise in the key in which we are playing. We will be performing Reggae, Ska, Swing, Jazz, Soul and some Rockabilly.
