Salisbury bassist needed!!

Sign in to disble this ad
A friend of mine in Salisbury, MD is looking for a bassist for his band Dakota John. They recently parted ways with their bassist and need someone to fill that empty place. Here's a link to the myspace and some of their requirements/demands/preferances. If you know someone or are someone who might be interested, you can get ahold of them via myspace or pm me with you email or phone # and i'll pass on your info. They are a very talented group of musicians and I are already established in the area, I would hate to see good music die, so help these guys out!

We have a couple of conditions thought:

1. You have to dedicated! (AKA be at our disposal). Meaning if we are playing a show you must be there start to finish. If we have practice you're there for the entirety (we practice every monday night in Salisbury, MD). And finally, if we're going on tour you're coming with us and you have enough money to feed yourself.

2. You have to have your own decent equipment. Not a squire starter set, but you don't have to have the worlds biggest bass rig either.

3. You must be able come with us wherever we go, so that generally means you must be 18+ unless you have wicked cool parents.

4. It would really help if you knew scales and your way around your fret board.

5. You should be a fan of video games. We are all addicted to video games. Autumn is addicted to World of Warcraft, and Mike and I are giant gamers. We also play a round of Super Smash Brothers before every practice, so it will really help if you're into video games.

6. Finally, you should be a rad person who can take a joke. We joke around, and hang out as much as possible, so you should too!

That's about it,
So if you want to try out, just message us and we'll work something out!

With all those requirements, I'd be expecting a salary. How much are they offering to have me on call to go with them whenever, wherever, etc?

I don't think they are asking you to be at the beck-n-call, they just want someone who will be available to make practices and shows, someone who will make the band a priority.
