1964 Fender P-Bass or Warwick Custom Shop Thumb NT 4

I have the opportunity to purchase either a 1964 Fender P-Bass (body has been refinished, but everything is original) or Warwick Custom Shop Thumb NT 4 for around $3k. What is the better choice based on value, future appreciation and tone?
