50TH ANNIVERSARY SERIAL NUMBER

Sign in to disble this ad
I have in my posession a 5 string Fender Bass(Deluxe maybe). Now, I am obviously not educated on guitars so I was wondering if you know by the serial number, or of a website, that could help me determine if it's a "96" or a "97". The Fender site is to vague. It does have the 50th anniversary stick on the back of the headstock, but that is not convincing enough for me. Thank you for time and your help would be appreciated.

You would have more luck if you posted in the bass section.
