Auditions/touring

Hi Janek
I saw in another post that you mentioned Ricky Minor and Barry Squires in relation to auditioning or trying to find touring work in LA.

I was wondering if from your time in England whether there are any similar figures in London that you know of who audition musicians for touring bands/tv work etc? Do you think auditions are ever open to anyone and advertised or normally closed and given to people they already know?

thanks for your time

Dan

I wasn't around in London long enough to know the major touring fixers for gigs. but I do know that most people who get those kind of job are in a scene and get them through word of mouth. I'm not sure there are too many open auditions for the really big gigs these days.

And as for being advertised.... the beatles came about from an advert in the paper... so who knows what is possible?

Easy,

Janek
