Unhappy Big bass problem

I'm taking the music couse at my school and the bass is good but in really bad shape. Rusty pickups dosen't seem to be important when i asked my friends but a really rusty bridge can't be any good. Got any website or hints on how to change a bass bridge? Never done it and my teacher's counting on me...

take it apart, clean the rust off, dry it, put it back on. just keep track of how you take it apart so you can put it back together. shouldn't be too difficult.

yeah, a basic cleaning should do the trick. if you have a video camera handy, you could set it up on a tripod and film yourself taking the stuff apart so if there's any doubt putting it back together you could refer the to film.

Easy,

Janek
