Changing tone and control knobs

Hey Janek,
During solo performances when you are playing lead bass, about how many times on average do you change the settings of your control knobs? How many times on average during performances where you are carrying the bass line? Your response would be greatly appreciated as I am doing a project needed for graduation.

I rarely touch the tone controls at all. Everything is almost always flat on the bass and on the amp and all the tone variations are created using my fingers. That's what I recommend to anyone.
