Hi Janek,

Thanks for another interesting and inspiring Podcast. I'm sure we all really appreciate what you're doing to pass on your knowledge and experience.

I just wanted to mention that I bought Hal Crook's book "How to Improvise" after reading what you had to say about him and I recommend it to anyone looking for a methodical and structured approach to practicing the art of improvising.

His whole approach of isolating a topic and working on it specifically to improve that area alone before moving onto the next... The whole thing just makes a lot of sense and tries to remove the whole thing of being overwhelmed by the mass of information to study and introduce fun, rewarding elements into practicing.

Hope people find this useful.

Let me 2nd that! I've had the book for some years now and I could still study forever from it. It's really one of a kind when talking about improvisation methods.
Hal's piano playing on the examples is also killing (esp. for a trombone player).

well aside from Mick being a, ableit crazy, genius of music, and his books being capable of teaching you more than you can dream of.... it's possibly one of the funniest things you've ever read too. He's hilairious. I would highly recommend any of his stuff.

Easy,

Janek
