I want to try your custom gauge Fender strings

Are they available at all? Could I buy a set from you? Since you have your own custom gauges on each string, I'm really curious as to how they feel and sound. If you can't get me a pair, well, I'll settle for a super detailed description from you of how they feel and sound

Thanks Janek! FWIW, I think you're one of the most killing bassists alive, EVER.

Thanks for your post and your kind words.

They're not available in the stores right now, i'm not sure what the plan is for releasing them is, if there is even a plan at all.

Right now they send me up about 60 custom sets with my name printed on the packaging "made exclusively for Janek Gwizdala" whenever I need them. I'm not sure if they want to release them as a signature set or not, but they do make them exactly how I ask for them.

100 80 60 40 30 ar the gagues I think. maybe it's 29 or 28 on the C sting, I can't remember. They're Stainless and not Nickel. And then I have them make a taper core E string on the headstock end of the string so it sits in the hip shot tuner a lot tighter.

There is a big problem with the hip shot when you use full size strings. When you drop the E sting down to a D or C or something, and then bring it back up it comes up sharp. This is because of the thickness of the string binding on itself and making hte string tighter and therefor sharper. I use the taper on that string only, and then only wrap it once around, and it works great.

Easy,

Janek

Janek, very nice.
Well, I guess the next step for me is to get endorsed by a string manufacturer and get my own custom wounds

Either way I'll be looking out for a set. Keep killing it man.
