Unhappy Ibanez Prestige Help

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello, I just purchased an Ibanez Soundgear 1000, it has the Bartolini pickups...well they went dead on me on stage due to a dead battery ( I just bought the bass a month ago and though it would last a while) can I set up a by-pass switch so this doesn't happen again? Are the pickups active or passive? The american site says they are passive? But on the canadian site they just say Bartolini custom. I got frustrated with this and now thinking about trading it in....I like the bass feels good but I do find it a pain to worry about having a dead bass.

Unplug it when it's no being played. The circuit is turned on when you insert the cord into the bass.So leaving it plugged in will drain the battery.

this really isn't the place for gear questions. please post this question in any number of the sections of this forum where people discuss gear pretty much exclusively.

Easy,
