Improv approaches

Janek,

First thanks for your posts and podcasts and love your CD well iTunes for me.

I know you talk a lot about mainly transcribing and anaylizing solos. I wondered did you ever study any improv approaches or methods that you found helpful. I'm trying to work more chromatics and chord substitutions into my playing so looking for maybe a plan of attack.

I never really studied a method. I just knew what I was in to in the beginning and have been looking for similar and further reaching things ever since.

It's all about being inspired by what I hear, to transcribe, and to ascimilate into my playing and make my own eventually.

Easy,

Janek
