| | | | Just a quick question Janek, will these gigs have material from your album, or are the more inclined towards jazz standards etc.?
And are you conducting any master classes whilst you're over here?
Thanks.

I'm not doing any mastercalsses while I'm there, allthough I would be up for it if anyone has any suggestions. It's always good to keep the schedule busy when I'm travelling. I'm giving a few private lessons while I'm there, but that's about it right now.
Easy,
Janek |

| | | | Cool...some private lessons...where abouts are you doing these? If you've any more time for one, i'd be interested in taking one...could you let me know how much they'd be as well as the days that you'll be doing these on?
As for master classes, the Bass Centre may well be interested in taking you up on a masterclass, or the LCCM or Institute colleges, i've spoken with Adam and James at the Institute, they deal with Admissions, but i think they also deal with the Masterclasses!!! The bass merchant may also be interested, Mike would be the guy to talk to there.
Thanks

Not sure where I'll be doing private lessons yet, but they'll be 40 pounds a lesson. I might go to people's houses if they're in London as I'll have a car while I'm there.
Easy,
Janek |

| | | | Cool...i'll keep an eye out on the Institute's website!!!
I'm not in London, but if you can sort out somewhere to teach from, i'll definately take you up on one!!!

Right now I'm planning to start around midday, and they have a curfew of 9:30pm.
If anyone is interested in taking private lessons, drop me a line at mail@janekbass.com

if you can get me in touch with the right people, I would gladly come to Australia and play with my group. I've always wanted to go down there, and to come as a band leader would be a great honour.

Easy,
Janek | Hey Janek, I'll look it up, expect to hear back from me in a few days! If something comes through, I can also hook you up with someone at my uni (Australian Institute of Music) regarding a few lessons or a masterclass?
Peace |

| | | | Just got back from Janek's gig at the 606 in Chelsea...what a night, i thought i'd be in for some serious playing, but man, i was blown away, not only Janek, but all the members completely ruled, i was unbelievably overwhemled by the performance from all 4 guys...and Janek, you're just a monster on the bass man, looking forward to my lesson even more so now! Gary Husband on drums was nuts too...
Wicked night...anyone who can get to one of the remaining gigs should definately check Janek and the other guys out, i had a 3 hour journey both there and back...it was more than worth it! |
