Hello Janek,
I'm originally from Montreal in Canada but moved in London last year, more specifically to Kingston. I've been checking out your music since I moved here, and got the chance to see you at Boaters with your band, and your music touched and inspired me. I think that just listening to you affects my soloing. I've been playing a lot of upright lately, but your sense of phrasing crossed over, and I find myself wanting to play more melodic solos.
I was happy to hear you played with Duncan Eagles and Louie Palmer, I missed that gig as I was gigging myself, but the Ram Jam is my local and would have loved to check it out then. I get to play with Duncan every now and again and he's great. Saw him with Laurence Cottle too, and that was great, so I'm sorry I missed your gig with them.
Which brings me to the point of all these rambles: Thanks for keeping it real, Janek. Your dedication is inspiring. I hope to say hey and listen to you again next time you're in London.
Take it easy,
E.

hey man,

thanks for your kind words, that means a lot to me. Glad you're digging the music, and that you made it out to a show in the UK.

Easy,

Janek
