Looking for a G&L American L2000

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi!
First I'm sorry for my bad english. I'm in New-York for 4 days and I'm looking for an electric bass, more exactly a G&L American L2000. But I don't know how can I find it in this huge city! Can you help me to find a shop who sell this brand or maybe a newspaper for second hand musical intruments? Thanks a lot for your answer.
Best regards.

Hi Loic,

You can find a list of G&L dealers in New York here:

Oh, great. Thanks a lot for your speedy answer! It's very kind.
I saw these addresses on the G&L website but I don't know who's got the best choice. In fact, some of these shops sell G&L bass but don't have them in stock. Could you recomand me one of these in this list? http://www.glguitars.com/us%20dealers/index.asp
And somebody told me there a magazine in which lot of people sells their second hand musical instruments. Do you know it?
Thanks again a lot.

Sorry, I can't help you with the NY music stores. I'm not sure which magazine you're refering to, I subscribe to Vintage Guitar and there are some classified ads in it, but I think the best place to find a used G&L L-2000 is online. eBay has several for sale right now, and the classifieds here at talkbass have had a few over the last several months. Craigslist is usually another, but I have seen very few L-2000's for sale in my area (Texas).

Hope this helps. I'm in the market for a used one right now, I have a L-2500 and it's fantastic, it really punches through the mix, but I'd like to have an older 4-string as well.

Also, G&L has a nice forum http://www.guitarsbyleo.com/.

I believe Sam Ash on 48th has a few USA L-2000's in stock.
They had 3 there, around 2 months or so ago.

These guys have an excellent reputation: Guitar Man NYC. I'm not affiliated, associated, or assimilated with them in any way.
