| It's such a sliding scale when it comes to selling tracks. You might find someone who really wants the track no matter what, and you can charge them a fortune for it. Then again, you may well be in a position where you have to let a few good tracks go for a low fee in order to get your name out there.
Like almost every walk of life, the music industry is about reading people, and knowing how to interact with them. You have to be totally aware of your surroundings and gague where you think it might be headed. You will, as we all do, make some mistakes along the way, but you'll learn from them and never make them again.
The way I see it is that when you're new on the scene, as much as you think you might have a lot to lose, you really don't. As long as you're cool and don't do something stupid, you'll be fine. Keep your ears and eyes open, and always ask yourself questions from all possible angle about any given situation you're in.
I'm sorry i couldn't give you a dollar amount as to how much I think you should sell your songs for, but it really doesn't vary from $50 - $1,000,000. You have to listen to what's out there and see where you think you are on that scale.
Easy,
