Specific technique question

When your going from highest string to lowest string like pentatonic patterns and such do you alternate fingers or do you do the raking technique? Like if you were to do a 4th run ie D,A,E,B descending, would you alternate fingers going down or rake a single finger down? Ive been taught in the past to always alternate fingers no matter what, but im noticing that it seems like you dont do it, along with Matt Garrison and Hadrien Feraud. Anyways thanks for the time, cant wait for the 55 bar recording!

I would use what feels most comfortable. You have to try as many ways as you can and then find out what is most effective. I would imagine a combination of the two will be most effective.

Easy,

Janek.
