Taking break

Hey Janek,

Just wondering what your take on taking a break from the instrument is....

I've been pretty busy all year, with a few different types of gigs, always playing 2-3 times a week + rehearsals, and practicing a fair bit.
Do you think its ever beneficial to take a couple weeks off and not pick up the bass.

Just wondering as i have a few weeks until my next gig...

funny you should mention this....

I'm pondering the same thing myself. I have the next two weeks off in Hawaii and I'm not whether I'm taking my bass with me or not...... will make a decision before leaving for the airport I guess.

I'm not sure I've ever taken two weeks off since I started playing so it would be pretty weird. I've definitely taken a few days before and not touched my instrument which has normally been great. It's good to rest the brain and take time once in a while. I think it keeps us fresh in what we do.

easy,

Janek

Interesting...

Yeah, i wont be away from my basses, so i guess i'll just take it as it comes. if i really feel like picking it up, i'll just go with it!

Have fun in Hawaii!

Rock on
Tom
