Dilemma...
It's amazing how i've been playing for about 12yrs. Had several teachers, and really just try and take what they teach and incorporate it to my style.
Unfortunately, you have those teachers that want to milk the cow with the milking of the C-Maj.. Stay near to the strings, don't shift your hands, man i have alot of bills on my hands,etc.
I find it rather interesting that I took lessons from some real pros in the game. Some say you need to read. Others say work on technique and feel. "Don't take over the lesson by asking me to play this snippet from BP", others just laught and joke their way thru to end it with 8 notes in 2 bars, then others state you're doing fine.
Who's right, sometimes if just feels best for me to pick up books with tab and figure it out myself.. Who's really really qualified here in NYC?
Any help would be cool..
