I recently bought this bass for $50 from someone that found it in a dumpster, I knew it was a steal so I had to get it before one of my friends tried to buy it first. The neck was pretty bent, pickups weren't held in place, Bridge cover was really loose with stripped screws, Parts are rusted.. I put a wooden shim between the neck and the body where it bolts, adjusted the truss rod and lowered the bridge and that seemed to fix it. I replaced the screws and everything works fine now. A nice vintage bass for $50.

I was just wondering if you knew the history behind this bass, and if you could tell me a little more about it.

put this in the basses forum and you will get way more reaction than posting it here. janek clearly states in the stickies on the top of his forum that he neither knows nor cares much about gear.

really the wrong place for this question. I really know very little about gear other than the gear I'm currently playing, and there are so many more people associated with talkbass that can help you way more than I can.

Easy,

Janek
