K I am getting an ibanez sr 505 5 string bass with the mahogany finish. I want to get some colored strings. What colored strings would look good.

Colored strings look bad in most situations, especially with a natural wood color like the sr505.

If you had to get a colored string, I would go with black. Anything else like neon or whatever would look horrid against the mahogany.

colored strings? really? you need my opinion for that?

I personally think they look silly. But if you need colored strings then go get 20 different sets and see which ones look great.

Personally I wouldn't spend too long thinking about what color strings to get. I'd be more into how my playing sounded, and if anyone was calling me to work with them...
