Hello Janek,

Which strings do you use? I assume Fodera roundwounds?
Have you experimented with flatwounds? Or would you advise against flatwounds for the particular style you are playing?

If you look at Janek's signature you'll see he endorses D'Addario strings, most certainly round wounds. Personally I wouldn't use flatwounds for Janek's style of playing. Flats don't speak well in the upper register IME and part of Janek's sound is a clear, singing, pingy upper register.

I'm using D'Addario Pro Steels on my fodera, and I have a couple of P-Basses strung differently. one with flat wounds, and one with round wounds.....
