Hey, folks thought it might be better to have a new thread for this so here it is.

The GTG will be held at Minton's Music in Ashburn starting at 6pm running through to 9pm. Directions at www.mintonsmusic.com

Minton's has a fully equipped sound stage, but we'll need a couple of 3 or 4 folks to bring amps. I'll bring mine for starters.

Of course bring as many basses, etc. as you want to!

Now all we need to work out is songs/etc.

It should be fun. Final cost (including soda and pizza) will depend on numbers, but will be in the $20 range if we get 10 folks.

I would love to host again. UNless Jive has some room. Though Jive's shop is better for fair weather GTGs.

You don't want to be slip-slidin up those stairs?

I'm definitely in. If it's at Jive, we could always have bass case sledding.

OK - so what about dates?

I'm free most weekends subject to a couple of weeks notice! Mid afternoon probably works best.

Shoot me some quick thought and I can get a poll up (I think!).

I'm in. If Philbiker wants to host, maybe he should make the first suggestion for the date.

Do we want to give it a month or two for people to confirm? Or, should we shoot for early/mid February?

If we go early/mid Feb I suggest Feb 14th or 21st. I cannot make the 7th because of church and since I missed the last GTG, I would like to make this one. I know that is kind of soon, so anytime in March will work for me.

Peace,
Chris

I'm down.

Chris, you're gonna have to do the Valentine's thing now that you got married. Or maybe not, but I'll have to, so no Feb 14th. Baby wants to see some live music, so who am I to disagree.

February sometime would be cool.

Good point. Dang, no more free Valentine's Day's. Okay, so at some time after the 14th should be good for us right?

Thanks for considering to volunteer your place again. That is tre' cool of you. I wish I could volunteer my place, but my little 1 bedroom apartment would be uber crowded. Maybe next time as we are looking to buy a house soon.

Any later than Feb and the optimist in me says we should rename this thread Spring GTG!

As for Valentine's Day you haven't been married long enough - 14th works fine for me!

But seriously, subject to Phil, how about Feb 21 for starters?

I would like to attend. Saturdays are generally better, the more notice the better. Phil, thanks for offering to host. I ended up switching out the pups on my P by myself. Thanks for offering up your help on that one as well! I'll bring both my P and my J, and my "boutique" (LOL) SVT 3 and "vintage" (old as dirt but still getting the job done) Hartke 4x10 if you think people would have an interest.

The reason we've historically always done these on Sunday afternoons is that people have gigs on Saturdays.
