OK, Nix on the flyer idea.

It seems like a lot of people from the "Where's the Beer" thread haven't checked in here yet. Any ideas on how to get the word out to them and any others that are in the area? A new thread should help but we need to keep it active. PM invites with a link to the new GTG thread?

If the 'where's the beer' people are like me, they are aware of the new thread and are waiting until next week to PM you for directions to the GTG.

I'm looking forward to it and may even bring something to sell/trade.

Subbed. I'm a long-time lurker in this thread, but I'd like to meet some of the locale Bass Brethren.

Kenner, I believe we know each other...

Personally, I've been lurking in the new thread but have had to give up on the GTGs because they are all on Sunday and that is rehearsal night for my band. Maybe I'll get a Sunday freed up one of these days.

easy solution: quit your band.

I quit mine to spend more time on talkbass and sold all my gear for a lifetime membership here

I'll be there with a fEARful 15/6 + Ampeg rig for others to try out (but definitely NOT for sale) plus a bunch of bass and PA stuff for sale - assuming the PM thing works out and I figure out where it is I'm going!

I was thinking of 2 ish till...?

I sent Tony from Planet Bass a e mail and invited him to come by seeing that his store is not far from my shop. I plan on swinging by American Guitar and asking Cory if he wants to come too.

Should we start a new thread just for the GTG/Swap-meet? I noticed that there is a few other threads just for GTG's. Maybe we could get people from western Wisconsin, eastern North & South Dakota even southern Manitoba & Ontario that would not normally see this thread.

I was thinking of printing up some flyers and putting them up at music stores around town to round up some new people too. I need to write Paul and see if I can use the TB logo on it.

I am open to ideas from everyone.
Lets rock this one out!
When it's been at my place haven't opened it up to the community atlarge

My opinion was that it's too risky for the theft of some expensive gear. The other thought is that if they're hardcore enough, there're a contributing member of talkbass

Ken may still have the pm invite list. If you go back in the where's the beer thread I listed all reservation requests

A forum administrator can also bump the "where's the beer therad" some folks may not be subsrcibed to htis or just search "beer"
