Didn't know 'bout this thread. I'm back in MN, hopefully permanently, after being gone since 99. I'm going to that GTG.

I'm actually kind of excited about it. Charles used to be my teacher long, long ago, right about the time his wife cut off his dreads. I was hoping he'd like to be re-hired, but it looks a lot like he's a bizzy bizzy bassman so I've got like zero chance.

Last GTG I attended had a pretty fabulous spread of eats. What's planned for this one?

Does anyone have a Carvin SB4000 they'd be able to bring? Or any other Carvin bass? I'm intrigued by the design and the unbelievable number of options they offer for customizing.

I could bring my LB75 - would that do?

Sure. I'd really like to see an SB4000, but any Carvin bass will give me a better idea of their build quality and feel. Though, I think I'll feel a bit lost on a 5er. Thanks!

Hi All,
I would love to come out to hang with you guys next Sunday. Would it be unthinkable to have a "cheesehead" join you? I live just over the border, north of Hudson, east of Stillwater.

My family just moved to the area this past spring. Due to the transition, I am only half a bass player and am ampless. Unthinkable, I know, but I could bring my Carvin B40 and Cobalt acoustic bass... Let me know!

I'm just a tb n00b too but I'd say the more the merrier. Hudson's not that far away!

I know we like to advertise our for sale stuff at the gtg, but can we have a box for free stuff? I've got some stuff that I won't use and is worthless; I'd rather give it away than toss it. Old home made pedal boards, a body, and maybe I'll find more!

JA - sounds like a good idea. I've had some things that were too nice to chuck but not worth much to a non bass player.

Yep I immediately thought of a couple free-box items when I read your post. Good idea.

Plus it'd be fun to paw through someone else's trash.

I don't have much trash gathered anymore. The body sounds interesting though!
