2009 Columbus GTG Afterparty (pics/vids)

Sign in to disble this ad
So Aug. 1, 2009 marked the coming and going of the first ever Columbus Area GTG. Since the original GTG thread is getting to be kinda long, and since the event has now ended I decided to start this thread for afterdiscussion and media (pics, vids, audio, etc...). Despite sudden problems that prevented some from attending, a good time was had by all.

Discuss your favorite experiences from the GTG, and post your pictures, video, and audio.

I have 22 pictures in all, these are just the first 5, plus there will be url links to 3 short vidclips (Still uploading...).

Hehehe... I got a pic of your setup, but I didn't get any pics of you (unless you count the back of your head in one of the shots). lol.

Video URLS!!! Give them time to load, or download them outright.

http://www.morbidlegionwoodsball.com...peteskjold.mov

http://www.morbidlegionwoodsball.com...9/mekergtg.mov

http://www.morbidlegionwoodsball.com...pnsandwich.mov

I'm surprised that even a little bit of audio can be picked out, yet alone have any clarity in these vids. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU'LL GET A BLANK PAGE UNTIL THE VIDEOS LOAD!!!

I still think he's playing at the Park Street Tavern right now, but yeah, I want to see those too.

I wish I could have gone to that.. It would have been a good show.

All in all, one of the best bass related days I have had.

And Matt, dont think for a second that you liked that blue Fbass. It was mine to like.. no one elses!

I forgot to mention that each vid. is about 35mb, so they take a while to load.

You can have that F Bass. I want that Skjold Lions Pride that Pete brought. IMO it was the best bass there.

I need your help guys..

Donovan is offering me an Fbass from Fretspot, and I cant seem to find the one he is mentioning. This is how he described it:

Quote:
"naked" satin natural finish
I just cant find it on that site! I looked everywhere! Maybe Im looking for the wrong thing.

I couldn't find it at all... but it could be on another page or just an option for a custom.

Look on the video page. It's about the 8th file down on the page.

Time for a 2nd batch of 5 pictures from the GTG.

I apologize if any are blurry. Earlier pics were taken when the batt's were almost dead, and movement tends to make images blurry, no matter what quality of camera you use if not set to action mode. I have 12 more pictures to post up, I'm trying not to take up entire pages on my own.

There is my modest setup, which I played through twice I believe.

And I found the bass, thanks Eagle! Im really wanting one of the BN series, but a VB would be okay.

I agree. The BN series is gorgeous. The VB's look a bit "jazz bass wannabe" to me. Of course I'm a sucker for a bass with no pickguard.

Exactly! And the matching pickup covers make it that much better..

I want a new one, which the "naked" VB would be, straight from NAMM, but I would rather have a used BN..

But they dont pop up too often in the Classifieds.
