All Cali GTG?

hey all!

so, we were floating the idea for an all California Get ToGether in the Coming and Going thread. thinking maybe around Visilia or so, whatever ends up being most central between Cali members i guess. i've only been to one, out here in Oakland, and had a BLAST. love to meet the more So of the Cal effects/gear/bass degenerates.

tentatively thinking second to last or last weekend of September?

i have a friend that works at Dunlop, playing a show with him next week, going to see about getting them to poke their heads in like Daring Audio and Mono Cases at the Oaklandish one. open to ideas about that too.

awesome! you're in Mt View? i'm over near Berkeley. if there's enough people around me to justify it i was going to rent a comfy van so we can car pool and have room for 5 or so people with their gear out there, since it might be about 2 or 3 hours from here to make it convenient for everybody.

Why not closer to the coast? Buellton? Santa Barbara? SLO? Paso Robles?

i'm not near a map and **** at geography. my firm believe that i'm the center of existance has back fired to where i think all things are arbitrarily omni-directional. where South and North are change if i spin in a circle.

is that the most central place to be planning to?

yeah, i'm down for a two or three hour drive.

soon as we get enough people interested/committed we'll figure out the best area and i'll make some calls to see what can setup.

I suggested here thinking it's closer to the geographical center of the state, but it doesn't HAVE to be here. SLO would be nice, and it's not that much different for those from both NorCal and SoCal. For that matter, so would Monterey

I should also point out about now that it'll be difficult for me to do a lot of arranging for it being here...I've got a butt-load of deadlines coming up in the next few months and I'm already a bit behind on two of them.

i am a time having MONKEY lately. we're recording a thing, but my grrL being out country mysteriously frees up ASS loads of time. i'm completely down to do the (internet makes it so much easier) leg work once we decide on a time and place.

FYI I can carpool if need be for some so cal peeps. I have a 4-door corolla that can fit 2 others with all our bass madness if need be. PM me and we can work stuff out...

Subscribed... technically, I think Santa Cruz is the center of California.

Now, if we're talking SF to LA, maybe San Luis Obispo is closest real city to center.

Anyways, if we do a bay area convoy we should rent one of those pimped out sprinters meant for tours. Built in xbox and a huge area for gear storage.

niiiiiiiice. coming together. it seems like most cats are going to be close to SF or LA? or is that my growing up in the Bay Yarea bias? is Fresno or Bakersfield about equidistant from thems?
