Sign in to disble this ad
I've got it all set up and ready to go. Based on the success of this years GTG, on August 3rd, I've decided to give people as much time as possible to start planning. If you aren't familiar with what went on this year, here's some threads to check out:

http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showth...70#post6098770

The 08/03/08 International GTG Photo Thread

FEEDBACK for the International GTG

Which ONE bass would you have walked away from the international GTG ?

‘Gear Listing’ for the International GTG in metro NYC August 3rd

What will be new for next year?

2. a smaller room specifically for listening to the basses thru headphone amps
3. more bass builders/bass amp/bass string vendors
4. available drum machines
5. live music in the outdoor Biergarten
6. representatives from different, and excellent, beer vendors (Bud and Coors need not apply. Sorry.)
7. more giveaways
8. any left over proceeds will be donated to charity

So what's the low down on the down low?

When: Sunday August 2, 2009
Time: START 10am for load in of anyone with equipment, especially vendors or people with amps. 11AM everyone else.
END 5pm at a minimum. Hacker-Pschorr party afterwards.
Where: Plattduetsche Park Restaurant/Biergarten www.parkrestaurant.com

Outstanding! Especially the multi-room setup. I thought about the empty room next to our's on the way home. Matt the manager said we were the only game in town that day. Since you are such a Plattduetsche legend (and all around friend to all) I wonder if we could have not worked a deal out early.

BTW - Thanks again John for all your work. I will gladly be be available to assist in anyway again next GTG. Good luck with your new girls to come.

I REALLY don't know if you can top the original, John! Best GTG of all-time! But I sure as hell want to be there when we all give it a shot. I'll be marking the calender and pitching the idea of a big NYC trip to the friends soon.

I'm most definitely in.

Possible to get those of us who have bands to play? Cause my mates would be more than excited to play. Obviously details to that would be worked out, but that would be awesome.

I'd actually get there early this time around, haha.

Perhaps a representative from La Fin Du Monde.

Also, the fee should include the tip for the food (raise the price if need be) since it's a large party the tip should just get added to the bill. That way none of the wait staff gets shorted.

I'll put it in my calendar. I definitelly enjoyed meeting those that I did and look forward to meeting more TB'ers.

I see you have remembered my favorite beer note to all: make a note of that, you will be asked questions for prizes!

I'll mark this on my calender. I'm still kicking myself for not making it to this year's. Don't want to miss the next one.
