Bass Players Tech Day..Thoughts?

Sign in to disble this ad
Here's what I am thinking. I'm brand new at 50 learning to play. I belong to several motorcycle forums and we have "tech days". Get togethers where we play with our bikes and help others, hang out, etc.. I am wondering if any players here may want to do something like that. I have a decent PA system w/one big sub, mics and watts. Anybody interested in getting together...all levels of play to hang, learn, teach, bbq and whatever? I'm in the far east valley, Arizona about 40 minutes east of Phoenix.

We do this all the time, usually referring to the events as 'get-togethers' or GTGs. If you're not in a hugely populated area it might be difficult to generate enough interest, but stick w/it- little happens overnight around here.
And welcome to TB(& the low end in general).

You need to have the title show your location, your title is too general and Tech Day is not common nomenclature on Talkbass. Try something like "Phoenix AZ GTG in Feb-March 2010."

I've organized several GTGs out here. We usually see between 15-30 participants, and it's a great networking tool and a great way to try tons of stuff you'll never see in a store.

Best of luck with yours!
