I was never a big fan of what Sheehan did, other than Mr. Big. That said, I took my son to a clinic he did in Cincinnati a number of years ago, and he was great. While I don't always like what he plays, he's really amazing to watch. All those notes come from very little movement. He's also a great storyteller, and a likeable guy. He'll sign autographs, and even answer email.

I'd go again in a second if he came near here.

Jim's Music has been around for years. What kind of grand opening is it?

They actually moved to a new location after all of these years. They have their own building. It's off of the 5 and Newport Blvd in Tustin. It's really nice!!!

Yeah, I just saw an ad in the local paper this morning. That's cool, it's a much easier location for me to get to.

well, that was indubitably cool! I'm still blown away by his fret tapped chords, they just sound so awesome.

in case any of you were there, I was the guy who yelled "CRAP" and got a free tee-shirt because of it.

I was there but I missed you Steve... I was a half hour late and left pretty much right away as soon as I didn't win the bass, LOL.

Did Billy try to turn anyone onto Scientology?

Yeah, he's a bigtime Scientologist. Don't get me wrong, though...I might make a joke about it now and then, but he seems very happy and together. It's not for me, but others get something out of it, so I'm not judging...just joking a little.

Billy is the most down to earth and non-confrontational Scientologist I've ever seen. During the big Scientology protests a few months back, Billy sat outside and politely put up with loudmouths and explained the church's views, and what parts he does and doesn't agree with.

Yeah, I saw that vid. If Billy was Scientology's spokesman instead of that idiot Tom Cruise, it would go over much better. But Tom Cruise, who regularly demonstrates slightly above average brainpower at best, thinks he is a complete genius because he is a big movie star Scientologist, and actually hurts their cause. Same with Travolta, although his ability to fly commercial planes does speak much better about his brainpower, much more than those crappy backwards hairplugs he has.

I'm glad I found this thread, I went back to Irvine a couple of weeks ago and went to stop by Jim's to say hello to my buddy Don Solo (I assume he's still there). I pulled up to where the shop used to be and found it deserted. I was devastated, I thought they went out of business. I'm glad to see that they moved. Off the 5 and Newport Blvd in Tustin, I'll have to pop in next time I'm down there.
