Boston Area GTG

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello to all of my fellow Boston TBers. If you're like me, there are probably some basses that you'd love to get your hands on to try out but just have never had the chance. I've felt this way about Dingwall basses for quite some time now and even put a feeler out there on one of the Dingwall threads.

I'm happy to say fellow TBer BurningSkies answered the call. He has graciously and generously offered up a couple of his Dingwalls for me to try out, and while we're at it we figured we'd put the word out.

If you're in the area and want to join in send me a PM and I'll get you the details. And of course feel free to bring any gear you want to let people try out.

Date: Sunday, 6/14
Time: TBD - probably early afternoon
Location: North of Boston, inside 128. PM for details.

I'll be bringing both my AB-1 (passive, alder bodied, fanned 24 fret 5 piece neck with a 34-37" fan, and the Z-1/Voodoo dubbed the "rastaburst" by Sheldon and crew (active, dual density swamp ash body, 5pc neck with maple board, spalted flamed top)...

I'm happy to share some time with these for anyone who has been interested in a fanned fret experience but unable to find one in the Boston area.

Too bad you couldn't come to the NE GTG two weeks later. I'd love to try one.

I'd be real interested if there were some more diversity. Any Foderas, Lulls, FBasses, etc going to make it?

Also, how far north of Boston? T accessible?

If I could drive I'd go- my wife and I love Boston, but she can't drive distances much since her accident. If you guys decide to do another one in the future (with some extra time to find a ride), I'll be there

Of course I'm also more than happy to throw my 3 Zons into the mix. They're probably not considered quite as exotic (or at least uncommon) as the Dingwalls or some of the other gear mentioned, but they'll be there (Legacy Elite V fretted & fretless and a Legacy Elite IV).

It'll be in Woburn, so you could get there on the Lowell Line of the Commuter Rail (Winchester Center Station would be the closest). I could probably pick up from there if there was a real desire.

Kobaia,

As indicated it's reachable on the commuter rail. PM me if you're interested.

Just a quick bump for anyone who's in the Boston area and looking for something to do on a rainy day. I'll be in Woburn around 1pm or so with my Dingwall basses for trying out.

Damn I was just down there this morning...

Now I have the Honey do list today.
I would have come buy if I knew about this earlier.
