So all I have to do when I get to the border is ask, "Which way to Tom's house?" and they'll say follow all those other guys. Sounds like I will have to make duty-free stop as well to be properly fortified for the main event.

Congrats on the Sad - I am knee deep in Jazz bass mania. Love my Nordy, still looking for another Marcusy thang as well, I am having as hard a time selling my Ken Lawrence as Mike is with his Parker.. and the KL sounds GREAT! heck, i should just keep the thing,.. what is it with the jazzes having such appeal, huh?
I have been wanting that Atelier Beta 6 at GS so bad, but my bills keep getting in the way... it's all good , though.
Man , I wish i could make it to one of these famous Bowlus GTG's . Sounds like great fun. Mike , Vic, Tom and the others all in one place.
You know I'll keep checking in on you...even if you never answer your phone!

I wish I was coming to NAMM...but alas, no pass and no cash to get out there plus no place to stay ='s me staying home. I will make it out sometime though, maybe when cash flow isn't such an issue.

As far as the jazz thing, I'm not sure...I went full circle. My first bass was a beat up old Fender MIM Deluxe Active. I loved that thing! Changed out all the hardware for black, added a blue pearl pg...man...

You should come out...I'm sure we could make it happen. Right?

Hey man...it's not couch camping...it's called, "Getting School'd by players that make your mouth drop open in amazement." or... "Falling in love with a lot of basses that you'll never own." *cough*MTD 435*cough* (I still call dibs...hey Tom, want a '69 Ford Falcon Futura? )

Related note... maybe Tom could hook up a drum machine or some patterns on the computer thru an amp so we could have a few basic drum loops to jam to. I think this would really kick it up a notch and make it easier for folks to get a groove on and really have fun with whatever's being eval'd.
Well, this could be done...I also have Reason on my laptop and and create some fun beats...whatever works.

Dude, you'll be passing with-in about 15 min of about three of us at the Detroit boarder, (KJung, myself and Loud -as-hell-Burk) so no worries about finding your way down to Tom's place!

Well, I tell you what... I learned a lot more by jamming with Mike, Jason, etc, than I would have just listening to them... had more fun, too...

P.S. I hate you. You know why. 'nuff said.

No you're not.
Actually, you're gonna hate it.
So, don't even try it out. Don't even open the case.
Just send it on off to me and we'll work out the details later OK?
Great, glad I could help you out buddy!

Wow, this seems almost too good to be true... man, that's darn cool of you, but I refuse to take advantage of our friendship that way. Thanks, man... I'll never forget this gesture... (lessee, now where did I put those rotten eggs... hmmm...)...

Just a little FYI for the Detroit area boys (sorry to the rest of you guys!)
But the Christmans services that I was in at Kensington Church are being aired (I caught the last 15 min of it tonight).
Here's the link for Detroit area and times:
http://www.kensingtonchurch.org/tv/
Don't know how long it will be on, maybe another week or so. But at least tomorrow as well.

The opening is killin' BTW. Fun tunes- from Trans-Siberian Orch. to Isreal and the New Bread stuff. Lotsa fun!!

And the last few min I saw tonight is making me really think twice, heck making my wife tell me to think twice about selling that Parker.
It sounds absolutly fantastic in the mix.
No kidding I was sitting there with my mouth open going "Oh my God (no pun intended!), that thing sounds freakin' awesome!!"

When I get a DVD of it, I'll rip some audio clips down if I can and post them up.
They (the Church) also are talking about posting up some of the clips on YouTube.
But heck, if they don't, I might!!!

Cool! I was talking with Mike the other day about this. I don't think I get that station where I live, so I hope I can check it out sometime when we hang.
