I am considering other "octave up" alternatives to my Akai UniBass (which I like, but which can sound too "digital" or "fake" at times). I'd love to give one a whirl!
Thanks, Tom. |

Tom..I ALMOST bought one a little while back when I was still doing the trio with a singer gig. I thought they'd be great to fill out rhythm guitar/organ sounds, especially during leads. I've heard NOTHING but good about them. Turns out, leaving that band, I didn't need one! |

Aguilar DB 750
Any Genz Benz head
Any Nordstrand bass
Any Dingwall bass
Any Stambaugh bass
Any Valenti bass
There are some other items that I know are coming (Thunderfunk 550(B), EBS 350, Schroeder 1210, etc.), so I'm not calling them out, but I am looking forward to playing through them!

Friday for sure where I intend to impress all with my (soda) drinking prowess and recent infatuation with late model MIA Fender mongrels. Don't you guys try to corrupt me with all this high end stuff (except for maybe the Bergs).
Probably Saturday too because I don't see how anyone can take in more than a fraction of this in one night -- even if they're sober! Looking forward to meeting as many TB'ers as possible, as well as learning and listening. |

I can also bring my 2001 Fender American Standard Jazz (Natural Ash/Maple) if you'd like. I know it will be odd man out, but it is one of the good ones, so it will hold its own. |

Excellent American Fenders - check.
Trust me, with my old Lotus and modded DeArmond, there ain't no "odd man out!" And yes, I love both of those basses! |

a peavey cirrus BXP (a sample from the OE manufacturer)
a plywood P clone with reverend pickup
a rack with a warwick quadruplet and crest pro 7200
that's about all i can bring that won't already be there. and i'm fine showing up empty handed. i'm not sure which day i'd be coming -- most of the detroiters i haven't met yet are planning on friday, but saturday is easier for me.

On a side note..single malt scotch...had it once. Played a gig with my dads polka band in FL. Trumpet player bought me a shot on the rocks. I know it was top shelf, don't remember the brand. I do remember thinking..."I could get very used to this"...Glen Livet maybe???? |
