Hey guys, lets start looking for a Date that fits everyone or the most of you guys and who might be interested. I know there where many not able to make the East coast GTG and then some had last minute things for the Atlanta GTG.

For me in Feb its the 16th 2008.

Jan is locked up with Ohio Guitar show, NAMM and Orlando, FL. Show. Then Feb I have Nashville New G-show and Spartansburg SC G-show. We could move the March, but I hate to push it that far out unless its best for everyone.

Thoughts?

If you had one in March around my Spring Break (10-16), I would love it! I would really love to see your shop.

I won't know until we get a little closer to the date. It mostly depends on if my band will be done recording.

Same here. Don't know if I'll be in playing shape again by then, but I hope so! How bad would that suck to be around everyone else's great toys and not be able to play any?!

Brian, I want to come to my first Mid-Tenn GTG and get back to sweet home Murfreesboro/Nashville this year. I voted for Feb. 16, but would go for sometime in March.

I enjoyed meeting you at Low End back in September last year and getting to play on a good number of those wondrous basses you had in stock then.

Man, both of those BBQ places in Murfreesboro that you recommended kicked! Woo hoo!!

I either get to buy you the first beer of the GTG, or the first bottle of something else! Deal?

I hadn't been watching this thread. Being just about 15 mins up the road I'd definitely make time to attend and bring my mediocre toys.

Looks like I'm out for a while. Starting a new job that will have me on call 7 days/week for the first few weeks. And I was looking forward to seeing Brendan's Darth Roscoe again.

So ya... I guess Nashville area get-togethers are dead in the water.

Nonsense. We'll have a much smaller TB GTG at the Boundr'y on Wed, August 6th, upstairs at 7 pm. They have a great beer list, and even if I'm the only one there, it'll be a great GTG. If, however, there are other like-minded local bassist who want to show up, that'd be fine as well -- just pm me, or contact me at NashvilleBassist@gmail.com.

I'm interested in a gear related get-together much more then a beer related.

I like them both, though only gear to excess; it's more about the networking and meeting like-minded players I'm into. If anyone has a place to jam, I'd be happy to hang out and bring/play with some gear. If you're in the Nashville area, I have to assume you've checked out the Low End in Murfreesboro? Fairly fabulous basses all over the walls, and knowledgable, cool people in the store?

Let me know if you can dig up a place -- I actually live in Smyrna, and I don't really have access to a space where a few of us could set up any gear, but I'd be into it if you (or anyone else on the list) has a space in the Nashville area.

Peace!
