Anyone interested in a TB get together in Central Virginia? I'm thinking somewhere in Charlottesville.

Charlottesville is less than 4 hours away from me. I wouldn't have much trouble making it.

It's about 3 hours from me, I'm game if there's enough interest.

Hey I'd be up for get together too. I live in Charlottesville.
I took a break from playing bass for over 2 years (sold all my basses) but just yesterday I bought an Electra Outlaw bass along with a Peavey combo and I'm looking to get back in the swings of things.

That's only a couple of hours from me, so I'd be up for it.

Well, that gives us a head count of six total. Any opinions on what sort of "critical mass" we need?

Also any thoughts on what you'd like to do? We could get together at a bar one night and check out some music, we could get together for dinner and just "talk bass".

I had thought at one point about getting a conference room somewhere, everyone bringing their basses, have a few amps on hand, and just let people jam if they wanted.

What do you all think?

Any of those options sound fine to me. As it turns out, I'm a reasonably good drummer, and would be happy to play along. However, I don't have access to any drums at the moment(the price of apartment living), so someone else would have to supply them

Sorry I haven't kept up on this post. I'm still up for a get together, but figured at this point we better wait till after the Holidays.

I'd still like some ideas on how many people is a critical mass to make this happen and what sort of thing you'd all like to do.

If you guys would like a place to meet, you're welcome to use my shop. Alexandria might be a hike for y'all, but if you guys are interested, let me know.

That would take a couple of hours off of the MD/DC guys trips, so I'd be up for it.

Charlottesville is under 4 hours for me, but Alexandria is 6.

Anyone know a quicker way to Alexandria by chance?

Las time I went to Jive's I was pretty fatigued once I got there.

Fly in a crop duster?

Charleston is pretty much straight west of me. Unfortunately, there's no direct route from there to here. You either have to head far north or far south to get on a major highway to here. If there was a shortcut to get to 81, you might be able to shave some time off the trip. Or at least some miles.

I now live across the street from Jivesound, so that's an even better location for me

I would be interested. I am in the Roanoke area, Charlottesville is an easy one, Alexandria is a possibility as well.
